2. Definition of Terms Used

  • Dante
Dante is a professional audio networking solution developed by Audinate, Inc.
A single LAN cable can be used to carry out bidirectional communication of all the information required for a digital audio system, such as multi-channel audio transmission, clock synchronization signals, and control signals.
Dante AV is a solution that expands Dante technology to video signals, enabling video and audio to be transmitted synchronously over the same network.
This enables flexible system construction using AV over IP.

  • NDI
NDI is a new protocol developed by Newtek, Inc. to support live video production workflows over IP.
It enables real-time interactive transmission of video, audio, meta data, and other information within typical Gigabit Ethernet environments.

  • SDVoE
SDVoE (Software Defined Video over Ethernet) is an international standard for the professional audio/video (ProAV) market that can transmit 4K high-definition video and audio over 10 Gigabit communication.
By combining SDVoE encoders/decoders and controllers with a 10 Gigabit switch, video walls and multi-view systems can be configured.

  • ADECIA
ADECIA is Yamaha’s one-stop sound solution for teleconferences, and is a sound system that includes a complete set of microphones and speakers, ideal for rooms and classrooms where teleconferences and lessons are held.

  • IPMX
IPMX is an AV over IP open standard for the ProAV market, proposed by AIMS (Alliance for IP Media Solutions).
It is based on SMPTE ST 2110 used in broadcasting industry and incorporate necessary functions for AV equipment such as HDMI, EDID and HDCP. Its aim is to increase interoperability and simplified implementation.
It can transmit uncompressed or lightly compressed video, audio or control signal with low delay within standard 1GbE or 10GbE network.

  • SMPTE ST 2110
SMTE ST 2110 is an IP-based broadcast media transmission standard developed by SMPTE (Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers).
By IP packetizing and transmitting video (ST 2110-20), audio (ST 2110-30), and ancillary data (ST 2110-40) separately, it allows for flexible handling and synchronization on the network.
It has achieved high quality uncompressed transmission and extremely low delay process, so it has become industry standard in studio equipment transition to IP based.

3. Preset setting and switching

3.1. About preset setting and switching

For setting or switching the preset, the system checks the DIP switch status at startup and selects the appropriate preset.
Note that you can only switch the preset when starting up the product in the factory default state (without saving any settings). If any settings are saved on the device unit, the unit will start up with the saved settings.
Before switching the preset, be sure to reset this product to its factory default settings. For instructions on how to reset the product to the factory default settings, refer to How to reset to the factory default settings.

3.2. Example of preset switching procedure

  1. Turn off this product

  2. Change the DIP switch to the preset you want to use
    image

  3. Turn on this product while holding down the initialization button on the back of the product
Initialization will begin by holding down the initialization button for approximately 10 seconds.
During initialization, the port LED on the front of the product will illuminate orange. Then, the product will start up with the selected preset.
